[ELDK] Problem in porting linux on VCE405 powerpc board using ELDK-4.2 development environment

Hi Wolfgang,

I did the postmortem analysis with md command yesterday and found 
following warning in memory after "turn off boot console udbg0" message

Warning:unable to open init console.
RAMDISK:gzip image found at block 0
VFS:mounted root(ext2 filesystem) readonly on device 
Freeing unused memory:140k 
init Kernel panic -not syncing: Attempted to kill init!

Am missing some thing in kernel configuration. Can you please guide me to 
resolve this.

Are you sure that ttyS1 is the correct console port?

The normal approach to such problems is to attach a BDI3000 and start
gdb for a debug session.

As a quick test, you can check if ther eis additional information in
the log buffer - either again using the BDI, or using a post-mortem
dump in U-Boot (see the FAQ).
