The whole purpose of the patch is to allow me to change the default
network configuration *WITHOUT* updating the board file.

Everything is going to be handled by scripts getting their input from 
graphic entry.

Scripts are very good at *generating* files.
They are exceptionally bad in patching files which can change over time.
