I don't know what "pixis_reset altbank" does, but there is a separate
bank of NOR flash on the mpc5121ads board, which you can select with a
jumper.

To switch between the "main" and the "alternate" flash banks you
always have to set/remove the jumper. On this hardware there is no
software way to perform this switching.

THis does not work on this hardware. You have to move the jumper.

Alternatively, attach a JTAG debugger...
