[ELDK] Ubuntu 8.04 and ELDK 4.1

Scott,
Which version of the kernel did you use successfully?

I'm using
Linux main 2.6.24-19-generic #1 SMP Wed Jun 18 14:43:41 UTC 2008 i686 GNU/Linux

but I may have been on -18 when I installed ELDK

Also, do you know what those 3 packages do?  Gawk is obvious, but I'm not sure 
I'll recognize how the abscence of the others will cause problems.
