[ELDK] openSUSE installation problem

1) /media/cdrom/install -d /opt/eldk ppc_4xx
2) The command terminates. But when I go to the installed directory nothing
has happened there.
3) I will try that and let you know.

BTW, I've tried the same in Ububtu and it started working.

Well, "it just does nothing" is extremly unlikely. You may not get any
output, but it almost certainly is doing something.

So please provide additional information:

1) Which command are you entering exactly?

2) What happens then? Does the command just hang and never terminate
   until you interrupt it? Is there any output messages?

   Or does it terminate? If so, what's the output? What's the return
   code?

3) Did you try running the command under control of strace or ltrace
   to check what it's doing? If not, then please do that.
