Here's a short status report; it works, with minicom 1.83.1 (Debian
Unstable) and gkermit 1.00. I added this to the file transfer protocols'
dialog:

K gkermit /usr/bin/gkermit -s Y U N Y N
L gkermit /usr/bin/gkermit -r Y D Y Y N

The only drawback is that there is no progress bar, so I first thought
nothing would happen when he gave me this screen:

-------------------------------------------------------------
G-Kermit CU-1.00, Columbia University, 1999-12-25
Escape back to your local Kermit and give a RECEIVE command.

KERMIT READY TO SEND...
-------------------------------------------------------------

But if you wait long enough for the file to be transferred it somewhen
stops and the image is correct.

Strange is the fact that at the end of the transmission I get garbage
data on the terminal before the size message is printed. But the size
itself is correct, the iminfo command gives a correct crc and the image
boots.
