[U-Boot-Users] question about u-boot

Hi Wolfgang Denk,
        Sorry, but I have a question. I downloaded a
compressed file from the DENX server, and I unpacked
it. 

can I use the u-boot outside of ELDK environment? or I
have to download and installer the ELDK environment...
