Did you wrap the kernel with mkimage?

Does the ARM Boot Monitor run before U-Boot?
If not you may need Jean-Paul's
patch (& mine)

Did you flash the images with the ARM Flash Utility i.e so that the
images are in mtd format?

Has the kernel been built with MTD support?
