You just forget to add CFG_CMD_BIN to your board's CONFIG_COMMANDS 
definition. Try something like:

#define CONFIG_COMMANDS (CONFIG_CMD_DFL         |  CFG_CMD_BIN)

(or whatever is needed for you board). This should fix the "unknown 
command" problem.
