[U-Boot-Users] POST on new architecture?

We were looking at adding POST support to our platform, and was digging 
into POST/ether.c (which seems to be specific for Serial Communication 
Controllers (SCC).

I was wondering if it would be better to add the loopback control into the 
specific ethernet driver? in ./drivers?

Or what way would you prefer to add testing of other architectures ethernet 
/ uart / usb peripherals?
