Hi,

For knowing that you must read the data sheet for this device. As far as I
can remember it seems to be a bottom boot block type hence mostly the ID is
0x2249.

The data sheet specifies commands that need to be given for the device to
reveal it's manufacturer's id (AMD in this case) and the exact part type.

Also you need to know the number of banks the hardware is organised as. No
worries if you do a 32 bit cycle (there must be 2 x flash devices organised
as 2 x 16 bit (seems 4 MB) on the hardware. U-BOOT already handles that.

If you need more info. I will provide you with the Spansion data sheet (AMD
no longer manufacture this
flash).
