[U-Boot-Users] Tqm850 + u-boot-1.1.6 + 2.6 kernel

Without success I tried to use 
Kernel 2.6.18 on a tqm850.
The kernel compiles cleanly to uImage, 
Uboot loads the image, but then there is no
Output at console and after some seconds the board reboots.
Are there any known bugs in the kernel which have to be patched,
Any special configurations for tqm , any 2.6 kernel versions proved to
work in tqm  ?
