[U-Boot-Users] Unable to compile u-boot

Hi Guys,
 
I'm trying to compile the u-boot-1.1.2, and running into some assembler
issues,  It breaks with the following messages
 
u-boot-1.1.2.rio/lib_ppc/ticks.S: Assembler messages:
/root/u-boot-1.1.2/lib_ppc/ticks.S:38: Error: Unrecognized opcode:
`mftbu'
/root/u-boot-1.1.2/lib_ppc/ticks.S:39: Error: Unrecognized opcode:
`mftb'
/root/u-boot-1.1.2/lib_ppc/ticks.S:40: Error: Unrecognized opcode:
`mftbu'
 
is it the fact that binuitls and gcc are not in sync. Or some other
issue.
 
Following are the gcc version i'm using...
 
gcc -v
