Sometimes while uncompressing the kernel image (gunzip), an illegal instruction program exception occurs. U-boot displays the registers, reboots, and usually doesn't have any problems loading the kernel. I'm having a hard time debugging the cause since the problem is intermittent. Has anyone experienced this? Is it due to a problem with the RAM? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks, Farrah.
