Note: Don't enable the "icache" and "dcache" commands
(configuration option CFG_CMD_CACHE) unless you know
what you (and your U-Boot users) are doing. Data
cache cannot be enabled on systems like the 8xx or
8260 (where accesses to the IMMR region must be
uncached), and it cannot be disabled on all other
systems where we (mis-) use the data cache to hold an
                initial stack and some data.

Subject: [U-Boot-Users] Problem while Enabling Data Cache for MPC8260 =
based custom board

Dear Mailing List,

=20

We have designed MPC8260 based custom board. I enabled I-Cache and =
u-boot still works. But as soon as I enabled D-Cache nothing comes up on =
Hyper Terminal.

=20

Can anyone suggest regarding this problem?=20

=20

Regards,

Dipen Patel
