[U-Boot-Users] getting compile error: xscale-elf-gcc: compilation of header file requested

I am trying to build the u-boot using xscale toolchain I have for
IXP425 based processor getting error.

command:

CROSS_COMPILE=xscale-elf- make ixwrv54g_config

Error:

Generating include/autoconf.mk
xscale-elf-gcc: compilation of header file requested
make: *** [/root/bootldr/uboot/u-boot-1.3.1/include/autoconf.mk] Error 1


How to fix this error?
