I'm not sure what you mean by "Kumar's
repository" (u-boot-mpc85xx.git?), but there hasn't been a
"lib_powerpc" for a while now.

Assuming you're trying to build a current tree in a workspace that
hasn't been used in a while, try "make clean", or possbly "git clean -f
-x -d" to be really sure.
