Hello,

Earlier I wrote that which included the following...

>=> tftp 40000 uboot/hello_world.bin
>Speed: 1000, full duplex
>Using eTSEC1 device
>TFTP from server 192.168.12.12; our IP address is 192.168.12.121 Filename 'uboot/hello_world.bin'.
>Load address: 0x40000
>Loading: #
>done
>Bytes transferred = 1120 (460 hex)
>=> go 40004 Hello World! This is a test.
>## Starting application at 0x00040004 ...

I tried this with "go 40000" instead of "go 40004" and it works properly.

This disagrees with the documentation, the FAQ and the wiki (and archived list emails going back last year), but I don't have a problem with it since it appears to work. Is the doc just out of date, or is this an exception for mpc53xx (not for all powerpc processors), or what? Does this mean that the start address is the load address now for powerpc?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Darcy
