Seeing as there's Wolfgang's tested/ack yes, this is quite likely to go
in.  Need to review it all again myself to be sure.  Simon, can you
please make a patchwork bundle out of it as well so I can be sure all of
the patches are updated right (ie we have the old ones cleared out
and the new ones assigned to me).  Thanks!
