[U-Boot] uboot halts when stdio configured for netconsole and network cable disconnected

Hi,

I found an old reference (http://lists.denx.de/pipermail/u-boot/2012-January/114850.html) to a problem that I am currently experiencing when configuring my target for netconsole startup.

Everything works fine when the network cable is connected, boot count expires and the kernel is loaded, but when the network cable is disconnected uboot halts and boot count does not expire.

As soon as the network cable is re-connected then the boot count counts down and expires and the kernel is loaded.

For my application I want the system to boot and load the kernel regardless of whether the network cable is connected or not.

I was wondering whether a patch was ever produced to address this behaviour?
