[U-Boot] u-boot 2016.07-rc0: socfpga SPL too big in default configuration

Hi!

If I do "make socfpga_cyclone5_config" and then build u-boot-SPL, it
results in SPL that is way too big (49K is biggest image that works in
my testing).

(Based on commit 6523dbf7cce8d8c903346f756e0e41e46ce6d6b9).

gcc based on eldk 5.6. Is there some trick for smaller images?
