Yes it was clear. I think it affects Freescale where they wanted to
use the same name on the ARM platforms as PowerPC. I've fixed that by
renaming the function. For arc it turns out I didn't have the compiler
installed (having removed it in an upgrade) so didn't notice the
error. Ooops.

I've have to do a full build again before resending though. Should be
late today.
