Yes, on the fast patch, I do check "recovery_status" to check if we
need to enter recovery path (I do read only one variable, not the
whole envs).
The second env variable which I do read is "boot_os" to assess if we
need to load u-boot or jump directly to kernel.
Presented above approach is to keep things as simple and fast as
possible with SPL.

For now factory "restoration" image with SD card can be used when
