Please add a -C when you run format-patch, you'll get something like this:

 5 files changed, 104 insertions(+), 947 deletions(-)
 copy arch/arm/mach-socfpga/{clock_manager.c => clock_manager_gen5.c} (88%)
 copy arch/arm/mach-socfpga/include/mach/{clock_manager.h =>
clock_manager_gen5.h} (87%)

It it make things a bit smaller to review for simple file copies.
