sizeof(tmp_parts) != -1 is always true, the parenthesis are misplaced.
Also, include/common.h says that
* env_get_f() - Look up the value of an environment variable (early)
...
* @return value of variable, or NULL if not found
So the -1 is likely wrong too ?
