FYI I posted a series a few weeks ago that adds a tool to automate this 
kind of job. check out "[RFC PATCH v3 0/3] python tools to inspect configs"

Command lines would be:

"tools/configs2csv.py --rebuild -"  to build the database

and then

"tools/configs2csv.py CONFIG_SPL_DM_USB CONFIG_DM_USB > dm_usb_usage.csv"
