Looks like I was not able to find a 'good' combination of these
software components yet.

In my case I can keep build_info() and it does not cause issues.

I tried comment it out and it still hangs.

I disabled Ethernet support in the defconfig and now I can boot until
U-Boot prompt.

Will keep investigating.
