What exactly is it what you want?

I'm pretty certain that you do *not* want to rebuild  the  ELDK  from
scratch.  It  may  be a very educational procedure, but it is a time-
consuming process and usually considered a major PITA.

Also note that known-to-be working build environments include
RedHat-7.3 and Fedora Core 5 (both with all updates installed) only.
On other systems, you will probably have to adapt / fix the build
scripts. To be honest, I would not do this voluntarily.
