You are right. The MPC8548_CDS board is not really supported in  this
version  of  the  Linux  kernel  tree.  And  I  cannot  find  such  a
configuration in later versions of the kernel any more,  neither  for
ARCH=ppc nor for ARCH=powerpc.

Please ask Freescale which board configuration and which kernel
version to use.
