[U-Boot-Users] telnet or netcat implementations

Hi,
I need to provide a bootcode "terminal over ethernet" for a new product,
after browsing the archives etc it seems that the preferred solution is
netcat rather than sorting out tcpip & telnet ?, has anyone an
implementation they have done or almost finished they would be willing
to share or direct me towards of either netcat or telnet server ?
