Sure, please make your  patch  available.  Even  if  it  is  not  too
intrusive  (which  I  am afraid it might be) to go into the mainstram
version it will be useful to others.

Umm... This will require significant changes to the code, as  without
RAM there is no real stack or writable .data or .bss segments.
