Is this really for all IBM SDRAM controllers? Or "just" the DDR2 enabled ones
on 440SP/SPe etc. Does it also handle the 440GP style DDR controller
autocalibration?

Thanks. Looks good. Please find some (mostly codingstyle related) comments
below.

This file should probably be named 4xx_ibm_ddr2_autocalib.c or something like
this.

This should be moved to the Makefile to conditionally compile this file.

Hmmm. What is this 0x4c DCR? Perhaps this should be added as a define.

#ifdef DEBUG not necessary since you already used the debug() macro.

Please don't add "dead" code. Either include it or remove it completely.

Again this 0x4c. Since this is DCR is written quite a lot of times and all
those "#if defined(SDRAM_R0BAS)" are not really elegant I suggest to use
something like this:
beginning of file:
static inline void clear_error_status(void)
{
#if defined(SDRAM_R0BAS)
mtdcr(MQ0_ESR, 0xffffffff);
#endif
}
Then you can call this clear_error_status() function unconditionally
everywhere in the code. No need for new #ifdefs.

Please use this comment style:

Please change all the other places where the other style is used.

What's SPR 0x23c? MCSR? IIRC then there are macros/funtcions to access this
register. Please use them if possible.

It might be a good idea to run checkpatch on your patch. This will help you
finding the codingstyle related problems.
Please clean up and resubmit.
