[U-Boot] Quickstart-Manual for u-boot?

Hi,

I already found

- the sources in GIT
- the config-name of my board
- the (really huge) manual

Since all I want to do is just compile MLO/u-boot.img for BeagleBone Black
the latter seems to be totally oversized for me.

So my question: is there some kind of quick-start/cookbook available that
just describes the steps to compile U-Boot for a single platform?
