Do you mention the exception handling series?

BTW I made a patch to save ~200B, purely in sunxi codepath,
simple, easier to review, and may solve the problem more quickly.

I have sent the patch, it's named "sunxi: disable Pine A64
model detection code on non-A64 SoCs".
