am335x_evm: failed to boot via USB

Hi,

I am trying to boot an am335x based board (BeagleBone Black) from USB
using v2021.07. I see the following issue when trying to boot via USB
(USB based network):

Trying to boot from USB eth

Problem booting with BOOTP
SPL: failed to boot from all boot devices
### ERROR ### Please RESET the board ###


I suppose that _env_flags_validate_type doesn't like this "M" suffix.
But I don't know where it came from.
