riscv64-linux-gnu-gcc (Ubuntu 11.2.0-3ubuntu1) 11.2.0
bintutils 2.37.90.20220126-0ubuntu1

plus your patch works fine and uses -march=rv64imac_zicsr_zifencei.

Unfortunately this is not yet the standard cross-compiler in Ubuntu 22.04.
