Indeed. Not a single line, nor any U-Boot logo or anything on HDMI. Do you see any debug output on the serial debug probe connection to the rpi5?

Perhaps it is really dependent on the eeprom version? Can you perhaps try to bump your eeprom version to the latest version to see if this might be the culprit?
