Strange that it booted then. Maybe you happen to work around the wrong
offsets by adjusting your partition layout, rather than by teaching the
SPL to load according to the actual layout.

The whole series seems to look for new owners if I read [1] (even if
that patch is incomplete yet) - though it contains valid fixed IMHO.
