[ELDK] MMC-SPI on mpc8280

Hi,

I have a custom board similar to PQ2FADS(eldk4.1) with SD Adaptor
connected to CPM-SPI.

Is it necessary/mandatory to have pull-up resistor on SPI signal(s) in MPC8280
CPM-SPI, if i have only one master one slave in the board?

I have initialised my SD card at 400KHz and VFAT partition mounted, but if i
try using higher spi clock (>700KHz )for single/multiple block read/write, the
transfer hangs at random no of blocks.
It hangs precisely after spi_async and wait_for_completion.

Can somebody comment on this.
