Here is a bug report. qmake2 in the i686 qte toolchain (installed
using "install.sh -s qte -r qte-sdk armv7a" command) is a 64-bit
binary:

ag at wker:/opt/eldk-5.1/armv7a/sysroots$ file i686-eldk-linux/usr/bin/qmake2
i686-eldk-linux/usr/bin/qmake2: ELF 64-bit LSB executable, x86-64, \
version 1 (SYSV), dynamically linked (uses shared libs), for GNU/Linux 2.6.32, stripped

Same issue is in the qte toolchain for "powerpc".
