The patch

is to be applied to the latest U-Boot code which already contains the
required contents of

It does not make them obsolete but assumes 4292 been applied.
I assume you have applied them previously, or patches submitted by
others, 
had the same code.

The patch

remains unapplied and viable, should you accept it.

(I have just applied it successfully to the code from the latest
GITHead, 
it is already appplied in the branch I use and has caused no problems 
with my overnight MAKEALL arm builds using arm-linux-gcc 3.4.2).

I am working on a new patch against the current GIT head to replace it.

Summary

4278 Obsolete - replaced by 4292
4292 code (or equivalent) is in the GIT head from
http://source.denx.net/git/u-boot.git/
4300 Obsolete - to be replaced.
5542 Still valid - submitted for approval.
