[ELDK] Problem in porting linux on VCE405 powerpc board using ELDK-4.2 development environment

Hi Wolfgang,

Yes, I am sure , it is tty1, we have two uart ports on this board , one in 
the front with D-9pin connector with address 0xef000400 which is Uart1 and 
second is Uart0(0xef000300) which is at the back of the board through VME 
connector . In the Uboot ,I have configured it as console 1.

Are you sure that ttyS1 is the correct console port?

The normal approach to such problems is to attach a BDI3000 and start
gdb for a debug session.

As a quick test, you can check if ther eis additional information in
the log buffer - either again using the BDI, or using a post-mortem
dump in U-Boot (see the FAQ).
